Rells, I'm sorry but you really have no idea how much actual profit is involved in 99% of all T2 production, nor do you have a clear understanding of who is making that profit.
With the 2 or 3 exceptions noted above (which should be addressed) the profit margins are far lower than you describe. As an example, let's look at HAC's.
I can place an order Ishtar with any of the large (read multiple BPO they have PURCHASED) manufacturers like NAGA. That HAC costs between 30 and 40 mil isk to produce, and they sell it for 80-90mil. Do you ever see them on the market or escrow for that? NOPE, your looking at 140mil or more. Now who exactly is making the big money on these HAC's? It's not the T2 manufacturer, it's the smart reseller. By the way, you too can make this kind of profit by simply ordering from NAGA, like the resellers do. Of course you'll have to wait a while to get it.
Frankly, I could make as much profit in the same period of time as it takes to build that 1 HAC as I could by buying minerals and keeping a couple of T1 Battleship BP0's in production.
Now this example is with one of the most profitable T2 BPO's around, what do you think it's like for the rest of them?
So, as others have said above, get your facts straight before pitching a fit.
I do believe that the number of hard to find T2 items should increase on the market. I do NOT agree that that requires more T2 BPO's and certainly not making those BP0's freely available on the market. I have said for quite some time that limited run T2 BPC's would make outstanding agent offers... allowing many more folks to take their hands at producing them, competing on price, or private use WITHOUT flooding the market and making the BPO's worthless.
T2 BP0 owners would still have a good, reliable source of income a cut above most. More people would get to try their hand, and most importantly it would make it far more difficult for the resellers to keep the market nailed down.
And no, this wasn't meant as a flame. Consider it a peek inside how this aspect of the game acually works, for those that haven't had the oportunity to experience it yet.
